The Faculty was created according to the order of the rector by 12/22/2018, №625/од. on the basis of the Faculty of Transport Technology, which in turn started its activities from the Institute of Economics and Management (established in 2003), and began its operation in 1972 (the year of the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering and Economics).

(IEM) was created by the order of the rector of February 7, 2003 № 17/од. that was consist of the Faculty of Economics and Entrepreneurship (FEE) and the Faculty of Management and Logistics (FML).
The Faculty of Management and Logistics was established on the basis of the Engineering and Economic Department of the Faculty of Automation and Computing in 1970.
The Faculty of Management and Logistics was consisted of six departments: logistics, management of foreign economic activity of enterprises, economic theory, higher mathematics, organization of aviation transportation, organization of aviation works and services, and trained specialists of various educational and qualification levels: bachelors, masters, specialists in the field management and organization of the air transport and other industries, alsomanagement of financial, transport, material and technical resources according to the directions of preparation6.030601 "Management" and 6.070101 "Transport technologies (by types of transport)".
In 2006 through 2010, the Faculty of Aviation Transport Technologies (FATT) functioned as part of the Institute.
In July 2001, FEU was divided into the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Organization and Management (FOM). Since May 2002, the FOM has been named the Faculty of Management and Logistics (FML). Subsequently, the faculty was reorganized several times: from 2006 it was separated, and then in 2010 the faculty of aviation transport technologies was returned.
On April 18, 1971, the Faculty of Engineering and Economics (IEE) was opened by the order of the Minister of Civil Aviation of the USSR at the Kyiv Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers. In 1987, the IEF was renamed the Faculty of Aeronautical Works and Transportation (FAWT), and in 1993, the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM).
